Children's Peace Library

On Saturday 8th October we celebrated Quaker week by turning our Meeting House into a children's peace library.  For one afternoon only, children from the meeting (Joe, Martha, Barnaby & Cordelia) talked visitors through sections of books entitles: peace in me; peace & equality; peace and the planet; peace and animals and resolving conflict.

The meeting room was tranformed into a series of cosy speaces for reading and storytelling, with beanbags, floor cushion, picnic rugs and playtents. Wall displays and craft activities reinforced our themes and we have left the wall displays up for the meeting to see.
