Safeguarding our Children

We continue to focus on how we care for our children and young people. We take our commitment to the safety of children and young people in the meeting very seriously. The whole meeting is involved in this process. Quite a large number of friends have now attended safeguarding training. Photographs of the three safeguarding officers are prominent in the lobby so that anyone, child or adult, knows to whom they can take any concerns.

This is the responsibility of everyone in the Meeting, but we do have a core group of Friends to advise and help, an agreed Safeguarding Policy, and a procedure for doing the required DBS checks on volunteers. The policy and other documents are available to download at right.
